Dirty Girl Mud Run

I completed my first mud run/obstacle race course since having Ella. It wasn't timed, and since it was an all girl race, it lacked any obstacles requiring upper body strength. This all means that I loved the course and we had a ton of fun. I was talked into this amazing race by my friend Jen and she talked her sister into running it. It would be fun to actually run/race this course with a bigger group next year. I will definitely work on recruiting some of you, this is your warning. Enjoy our muddy pictures.

Our awesome photographer and cheering section. Nate and Ella went all over the course to cheer us on and take some pictures and video.

Posing in front of the course.

Not muddy yet...
Off we go!

Wall climb

Cargo net. Glad I know to roll across, much easier, safer and faster.

Mud!!

Helping each other up and out of the mud.

We are doing our best to not get muddy.
The slide was the best obstacle.

Splash!
Almost done
Just a little muddy here

May 2014, Family Fun

I'm trying to get caught up, so I'm lumping a lot into 1 post to try to make this easy on myself. Sorry in advance. We are always busy with family, friends, races and additional activities. May was no exception. There were girl night outs with my new found mom friends (love you all so much). I also hosted my first Norwex party. Here are some shots of Ella and what she has been up to.

Diaper cake for Baby boy Rice (I now know that his name is Tucker).

Girl Night, Baby Sprinkle for Sara and her baby bump.
Ella found dad's drums

Daddy teaching Ella how to drum

Almost big enough to wrangle her own shopping cart.

Ella loves her animals, especially her Simba and Nala.

Ella going on a walk...well, I'm walking, she gets to ride in her car.

Such a little girl.

I think the slide was a great find, and it did not stay in the family room long. It now lives in the toy room and can be moved outside when it is nice.

Ella helping dad.

Ella rocking a sequin belt from an old dance costume. Any of my Pinnell dance alumni know which outfit this is from? Hint: it was a Barb routine.

Mmmmmm, Melon.

"I push"

My running buddy took a nap.

This makes me so proud, reading on her own.

Water table is a success.
Norwex party, Ella and Lily were great helpers. They love the mop. So easy, a toddler can do it!

Family Visits in May 2014

Family dinner with Uncle Patrick and Mikey at their place. It was a perfect evening, and Ella had a great time. She loves them so much.

Dinner

The adult dinner looks better than Ella's options. It was delicious.
The trip to Ohio is a little more stressful these days, but thankfully we snuck in a fun trip to the zoo.

Ella got to see Grandpa George at his new home, so much nicer than the hospitals and nursing home.

Ella trying to sit with Grandpa.

Ella and Cici with a step stool, this is not going to end well.
My little monkey climbed into the rocking chair on her own.

Ella likes burritos :)

Petting zoo with the cousins.

Love these girls!

Elephant!

Her first look at a manatee, not sure she knew what to think.

Mars Band 5K 2014

My sister and her family came into town and ran the Mars Band 5K with Ella and myself (Nate was out of town). They did amazing considering they are not used to hills. Ohio is super flat compared to western PA ;) ;) Savannah ran the kids fun run even though she was sick, such a trooper! It would be awesome to get them here every year for this race.
