Halloween Activities

Ella's first Halloween was filled with a lot of activities.  She experienced costumes, leaves, pumpkins, pumpkin carving, a couple of parties and gatherings.  She was our little pumpkin this year. She had two different pumpkin costumes thanks to Aunt Colleen giving her one that cousin Cici had outgrown.  She rocked her costumes at Kindermusik class, our friend's Halloween party where we were a Peanut's tribute (Linus, Sally and the Great Pumpkin), trick or treat night and a photo shoot in the front yard.

A happy baby on her way to Kindermusik class.

Photo shoot in the front yard. Our little pumpkin with all of the other pumpkins.

Our little pumpkin at Kindermusik.  Not sure how we got all of the babies to sit still so we could get a few pictures.

Ella loves her little friends.

Grandpa David helped us carve our pumpkins this year.

Our awesome pumpkins.

Trick or Treating was cold and rainy (3rd year in a row we've had less than nice weather).  We still had a decent amount of kids (~150).  Ella partied with us in the garage as we handed out candy until her bedtime.  All of the older kids thought she was adorable.  Next year we will get to take her to a few houses.  Due to the rain and cold, she didn't get to go to any houses this year.

Trick or Treat - 1st Halloween

Ella also received some holiday cards.  I documented her opening and enjoying the cards. I did keep her eating of the cards to a minimum.

A card from Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Turner in Michigan.

How does the card come out...I bet I can chew my way to the card...
A first Halloween Card
A gift card!!!!
Mmmm, a card from Grandma and Grandpa Andrulonis...
The first Halloween card is almost as delicious as the envelope!

It was a busy fall for us. Nate and I did get to go to one football game and tailgate, ND vs Pitt at Pitt.  It was a great time with friends, and it would have been better had ND won.

Cold, but happy

7 month

Ella at 7 months
No stats this month, as the next doctor appointment will be at 9 months.
Ella is progressing well. She is so tiny and muscular she moves very easily. Army crawling was first. Now, she is crawling after her Kindermusik friends.  She sits very well now and can play with toys. She knows how to roll, but is not a huge fan of it. She is eating baby oatmeal cereal and phase 1 foods.  She is not always fond of the food I make, but she loves sweet potatoes, apples and pears. She tolerates other foods, but is not a fan of green vegetables.

She still remains a happy, smiling, social baby

Fall Hike

Fall Hike - we took Ella on a fall hike at Moraine State Park. Both of us took turns carrying her. Ella continues to love the outdoors and her hiking carrier. We had a beautiful day. I'm glad we got the hike in before all of the leaves fell and winter arrived.  Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the hike.
Nate starting us out on the hike.

Ella looking around and enjoying her view.

What made our hike so lovely.

Taking a break to chill with Dad.

Mom's turn to carry Ella.

Fall activities

We have been very busy.  I'm going to add pictures and describe all if our goings on that way. Enjoy!

We are getting ready for Halloween. Ella loves the stuffed pumpkins and has a few cute outfits to rock.
I decided I start being crafty again. Wreath #1 is for Halloween.
Decorated the house and Nate is playing with Ella.

Wreath #2 is a fall wreath to go up after Halloween.
I ran the Pittsburgh Color Run with my friend Jen. This is the before picture.
Ella was cheering for us, it was early and raining.

We ran through several color stations like this during the 5k

Almost done!
After party color bomb...yes, we were in that. It was amazing and crazy.

After. First 5k ever for Jen. So proud of her. My first 5k since Ella. Not a terrible time 32:30.

We stayed with Nate's parents for the race. Ella's first overnight there. She was having fun playing with a pumpkin with grandma Jeanne.
We went down to the point to see the duck. The giant, 4 story tall duck. First time in the USA. This was our weekly family activity. It was awesome because the point was open and the fountain was working.

Ella was loving all of the people and babies.
Duck in the mist.

I swiped this one from the Internet. Love the duck!

She loves to walk.
We can now wear bows!!!!!

I found the perfect blanket for game days. Ella watching the buckeyes beat the hawkeyes.
